We know little about Daniel except that the Old Buckenham parish records shows Daniel born on Tuesday 7 February 1837, although there is no record in the civil registers as registration was not introduced until July 1837. He was baptised in the Parish Church along with the younger Mary Anne and Elijah on 13 February 1842, having to wait till he was 5 years old. In the 1841 census he is recorded as being 3-years-old, and he appears logically in the 1851 census as a 13-year-old Farmer's Son.
Unfortunately young Daniel met an untimely end. On 19 June 1857, recorded as being 19 years of age (although records would indicate he was 20), Daniel died, the cause of death being consumption. "Thursey" CHILVERS registered the death, the certificate noting that she was present at the death.
